California AB 1200 and Colorado HB 22-1345 Disclosure:
California Safer Food Packaging and Cookware Act of 2021 (California Assembly Bill 1200) (“AB 1200”) and Colorado House Bill 22-1345 (“H.B. 22-1345”) require manufacturers of cookware to disclose the presence of certain chemicals that are intentionally added cookware products. California’s AB 1200 applies to chemicals identified on California’s Department of Toxic Substance Control Candidate Chemical List. Colorado House Bill 22-1345 (“HB 22-1345”) applies to the presence of PFAS chemicals.
Colorado H.B. 22-1345 Disclosure:
PTFE coated products contain PFAS chemicals (PFAS chemicals (polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), perfluoroalkoxy alkane (PFA), fluorinated ethylene propylene (FEP)), which are used for their non-stick properties.
